The Moon: Ruler of Cancer

The Moon represents Cancer

and the 4th house.

The House emotions, the home, families, mothers, and intuition.

 The Moon rules Cancer, emotions, the 4th house, families, mothers, and intuition. The Moon is considered a “planet” in Astrology. The Moon and the Sun are sometimes called “luminaries.” The moon is a satelite of the Earth. Other Planets have Moons. Phoebos, Daemos, Titan and Ganymede to name a few.
Moon Deities include: Artemis, Selene, Hekate (Greek), Diana (Roman), Coyolxauhqui (Aztec), Ix Chel (Maya), Heng-O, Quan-Yin (China), Khons/Khonsu, Yemaja, Oxum, Hathor/Het-heru, Apis (Africa & Brazil). The Moon has Phases. However the moon does not get big or small, it is the light that hits the face that makes it appear to change in size. The face of the moon never changes. The gravity of the earth holds the same direction towards the earth.

The Moon has Phases:

New Moon, Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Third Quarter, Waning Crescent.
